Who are we?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

We are Momentum Robotics<\/strong>. We are a team of dedicated highschoolers working together to build cool robots and learn valuable skills related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do we do?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

We build awesome robots. No, seriously, that’s what we do. We are a team competing in the FIRST Robotics competition, the Ultimate Sport for the Mind<\/em>\u2122. Under strict rules and limited time and resources, we are challenged to build industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game in alliance with other teams, while also fundraising to meet our goals, designing a team \u201cbrand,\u201d and advancing respect and appreciation for STEM within the local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can I join?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

We are always looking for new members for our team. Don’t worry, there is no knowledge or experience required. That’s the point: we’re all here to learn. The core goal of our team is to teach our members how to apply the abstract concepts learned in school to real-world engineering and business administration problems. Our mentors are seasoned industry professionals, and with their guidance and assistance we will teach you everything you will need to know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are a community team<\/strong> even though we are located at the Sato Academy of Mathematics and Science. This means any<\/em> student grade 9\u201312 is eligible to join our team, no matter what school they attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I join?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The first step is to attend a meeting and get to know the team. Let us know you’re interested by sending us an email at momentumrobotics@gmail.com<\/a>, and we’ll let you know when the next meeting will occur. You can also refer to our calendar<\/a> (but still email us before you show up so that we can be ready to introduce you to the team).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
